Ja, nu ska jag alltså ta mig an uppgiften att besvara frågan om hur en atombomb fungerar. För att göra detta måste jag dock använda mig av vissa svåra ord så jag har gjort en ordlista (förra inlägget) med alla ord ni behöver kunna för att förstå texten.

Men hur är då bomben uppbyggd och hur detoneras (läs 5 i ordlistan) den? Enkelt sett kan man säga att bomben är som ett klot. I detta klot har vi två radioaktiva ämnen (läs 4 i ordlistan) som ligger vid varandra tillsammans med en massa sprängämnen (det är dessa som bidrar till explosionen). Vid detoneringen pressas de två radioaktiva klumparna samman tills de når den punkt då de börjar sönderdelas! Detta kallas för en kedjereaktion då de mindre delarna hela tiden delar de större i mindre och mindre delar -som i en kedja. Och det är just detta som ger sprängämnena tillräckligt mycket energi för att explodera! PANG!!! POOOFFF!!
